By Congressman Bob Filner

Congressman Filner recently honored the Chula Vista Police Department's Senior Volunteer Patrol as his "Crimefighters of the Month" for their commitment and outstanding efforts to make the community safe. The Senior Volunteer Patrol is comprised of approximately 60 volunteers who help the Chula Vista Police Department with a number of duties which include patrolling neighborhoods, schools, and businesses, reporting graffiti, performing security checks on private homes, visiting seniors in need of help, and providing support to programs that help children if they are in danger.
